Sidus Space advances LizzieSat-4 payload integration with Maris-Tech edge computing system

Sidus Space Inc has reached a key integration milestone with Maris-Tech Ltd as the companies prepare to fly Maris-Tech's advanced payload aboard the LizzieSat-4 mission planned for launch later in 2026. The step marks the move from planning activities into active hardware testing and platform-level integration for the mission.

Sidus reported that testing of Maris-Tech's payload hardware is scheduled to begin next week. After initial tests are completed, the payload is expected to be integrated onto the LizzieSat-4 satellite as both partners advance toward flight readiness for the upcoming mission.

"This integration milestone represents a critical step as we prepare LizzieSat-4 for launch later this year," said Patrick Butler, EVP, Engineering and Programs at Sidus Space. "Beginning payload testing and progressing into full hardware and software integration underscores the maturity of the LizzieSat platform and our ability to support advanced customer technologies from ground testing through on-orbit operations."

The Maris-Tech payload is designed to demonstrate high-performance edge computing and video processing in orbit. The system will leverage the modular LizzieSat architecture and Sidus Space's flight-proven subsystems to support real-time data handling and advanced analytics for space and defense applications.

"Entering the payload testing and integration phase with Sidus marks an important technical milestone for Maris-Tech," said Israel Bar, Chief Executive Officer of Maris-Tech. "Flying aboard LizzieSat-4 is intended to enable us to validate our edge computing and video processing capabilities in a space environment, and demonstrate seamless integration with the LizzieSat hardware and software platform as we advance toward on-orbit operations."

LizzieSat-4 forms part of Sidus Space's growing constellation of multi-mission satellites engineered for rapid payload integration and flexible hosted payload configurations. The platform is designed to streamline the transition from ground testing to on-orbit operations for commercial and government customers.

The mission highlights Sidus Space's role as a turnkey space platform provider, combining satellite manufacturing, technology integration and mission operations capabilities. By hosting Maris-Tech's edge computing and video payload, LizzieSat-4 is intended to showcase how modular satellite architectures can accommodate advanced processing systems to support mission-critical applications in orbit.
