Reflect Orbital has secured $20 million in Series A funding to accelerate the deployment of its satellite constellation designed to deliver sunlight on demand. The round was led by Lux Capital, with additional backing from Sequoia Capital and Starship Ventures.

The company is focused on creating a network of satellites capable of reflecting sunlight to Earth for large-scale lighting and energy solutions. This funding will enable the expansion of its engineering team, increase operational capacity, and support the execution of its first space missions.

"Lux backs some of the most impressive hardware companies out there, and they share our vision. We couldn't ask for better partners to join us in creating the future of light and energy, and together, we'll get our first lux on the ground," said Ben Nowack, CEO and Co-founder of Reflect.

Lux Capital, a prominent investor in transformative science and technology ventures, is expected to play a crucial role in scaling Reflect Orbital's operations and establishing critical industry partnerships.

"Reflect Orbital is pioneering a new category in-space infrastructure that represents the convergence of two areas we're passionate about-space technology and energy solutions," said Josh Wolfe, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Lux Capital. "We believe their on-demand illumination technology has the potential to reshape how we solve problems on Earth-from critical operations to energy resilience-while opening entirely new markets we're only beginning to imagine."

Reflect's inaugural satellite mission is scheduled for as early as Spring 2026, with plans to provide limited "World Tour" lighting demonstrations at 10 iconic locations before expanding to support defense, remote operations, civil infrastructure, and energy generation. The company has already received over 260,000 inquiries for its satellite-reflected sunlight service from 157 countries, highlighting significant early interest.
