In a significant move for the Middle Eastern telecommunications sector, Rivada Space Networks has announced a partnership with Emirati satellite services company Wiseband. This collaboration aims to introduce Rivada's advanced low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite technology, the OuterNET, to the Middle East, enhancing secure connectivity in the region.

Rivada Space Networks, renowned for its pioneering efforts in global network development through a constellation of 600 LEO satellites, is set to provide secure, global connectivity solutions, particularly tailored for government and enterprise sectors. The company's OuterNET, a unique next-generation constellation, employs inter-satellite laser links coupled with advanced onboard processing. This innovative approach facilitates an optical mesh network in space, offering ultra-secure satellite networks with comprehensive pole-to-pole coverage. The network's low latency and high bandwidth are set to surpass traditional terrestrial fiber networks in terms of efficiency over long distances.

Wiseband, headquartered in the UAE and operational across the Middle East and Africa, specializes in bespoke private satellite networking solutions, designed to meet stringent performance and security demands. The company's experience in the region, with ongoing projects in the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, and Egypt, makes it an ideal partner for Rivada's expansion in the Middle East.

The partnership leverages Wiseband's regional expertise and customer base with Rivada's state-of-the-art LEO satellite network. This collaboration aims to enhance the security and reliability of communications services for enterprise and government sectors in the Middle East. Rivada's OuterNET, with its unique routing and switching capabilities, creates a physically separated network that ensures enhanced security and resilience for data sharing across distributed sites.

Ahmed Hassan, CEO of Wiseband, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership. He stated, "Wiseband is looking to tap onto Rivada Space Networks' highly secure point-to-point secure communications network to provide advanced and customizable secure solutions to our existing enterprise customers and to develop the emerging markets in the Middle East."

Declan Ganley, CEO of Rivada Space Networks, also expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. "We are delighted to be partnering with Wiseband based on their long history and expertise in serving the telecoms sector in the Middle East region," Ganley said. He further highlighted the transformative potential of the OuterNET, describing it as "a game-changing constellation that re-defines connectivity in terms of security, latency, capacity, efficiency, and coverage."

The partnership was announced ahead of the Middle East Space Conference in Oman, where Rivada's OuterNET will be showcased. Ganley is set to participate in a panel exploring the role of new satellite networks in regional connectivity and the future of satellite communications services in the Middle East. This includes discussions on unlocking the potential of LEO for data networks and services, the ambition for an ultra-secure global network for enterprise and government communications, and the dynamic opportunities laser communications offer.

This partnership marks a significant step in the evolution of satellite communications in the Middle East, with Rivada's innovative LEO constellation poised to provide a next-generation infrastructure for secure, resilient communications and network expansion in the region. The collaboration is not just a technological advancement but also a strategic alignment that promises to redefine connectivity solutions in the Middle East.
