What Cars are Most Rented in the UAE and What is Their Advantage?

Which are the most popular models in the UAE, and, more importantly, why are those models particularly popular?

Car rental companies in the United Arab Emirates have been increasingly popular during the past decade. This is strongly related to the number of people visiting the UAE for both business and leisure. Instead of bringing your car to the UAE, it is way simpler to just rent a car and drive around on Dubai's astonishing streets. Or is it?

Why rent a car in the UAE?

Renting a car in the UAE is not as costly as people suggest. With prices starting from only tens of euros per day, using a vehicle to move around the city is way more comfortable compared to public transport. You can stop wherever you want; you can take a break whenever you want; you can take the road you wish to.

Besides the comfort factor, it is also important to mention the pricing factor. Getting your car in Dubai might take a lot of fuel (depending on where you live). What is more, driving to the UAE takes way longer than simply boarding a plane and flying your way in. To cut down the costs of having a vehicle at your fingertips, it is a great idea to rent a car instead of bringing yours all the way to the UAE.

Choosing the right model for you is complicated. It takes time, wiseness, and a lot of factors to consider. We teamed up with the extraordinary guys at Renty to create a list of the most (and least) popular car models people rent in the UAE.

The most popular models

There has to be a reason why people keep renting these cars. It may be related to their engine power or their comfort. The truth is each car has its advantages and disadvantages. Let's see what is your best option.

Mercedes G63 AMG

The astonishing Mercedes G63 AMG dominates the road. Its 4-liter V8 engine brings a total of 577 horsepower to your feet. Besides its top speed of 220 km/h, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds. Impressive, right?

But besides the mechanical miracle, this car is also incredibly comfortable. The perforated leather seats with both venting and heating options will help you make your way on any road. It is said you can drive this car with only your pinky finger thanks to its fluid direction, but it is best to just keep both your hands on the steering wheel and drive safely all around.

Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder

5.2 liters, V10 engine, 631 horsepower. It is not a Formula 1 monopost, but the new and incredible Lamborghini Huaracan EVO Spyder. This stunning convertible lets you fly from 0 to 100 in just 3.1 seconds. The sturdy suspension gives you a sporty feeling with a taste of royalty.

Rolls Royce Cullinan

Unlike its looks, the new Rolls Royce Cullinan is equipped with a V12 engine that puts all the 563 horsepower to work. This petrol beast can take your entire family in comfort and provide you with a smooth ride anywhere you want to. It is a full luxury SUV that also accelerates well (5.2 from 0 to 100 km/h).

Porsche 911 Carrera Cabrio

The iconic cabrio equipped with a 3-liter engine developing 444 horsepower will let you ride in style across the UAE. Not only rapid but also comfortable, the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabrio will bring you pure joy during your ride.

The least popular models

On the other end of the leaderboard are four models that are particularly expensive - Range Rover Sport Vogue 2023, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes EQS 580, and Mercedes S Class.

These models have high rental prices for the new versions, so people usually prefer a cheaper (but sometimes more visually appealing) option.

Regardless of your options, you will surely have a great time riding around the UAE in a rental car. Even economy cars are good for a short trip. But, sure, if you want a top-tier experience, go for either luxury or sports models.
