SatixFy Communications Ltd. (NYSE American: SATX), a leader in satellite communication systems, has announced a $9 million software development and license agreement with MDA Space Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a major player in the global space sector.

The deal will see SatixFy deliver modem and beamforming software for its chipsets to be used in digital broadband Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite payloads. Additionally, SatixFy will supply software licenses and a development kit to aid MDA Space's customer deliveries.

SatixFy's offering includes advanced radiation-hardened chipsets with onboard processing, support for multi-beam digital antennas, and sophisticated ground terminals, making it a key provider in satellite payload technology.

The contract is valued at $9 million, including $6 million for the software solution and licensing for an existing MDA customer, and $3 million for a future licensing option. MDA Space can also opt for additional access to specific code for $4 million.

Nir Barkan, CEO of SatixFy, said, "MDA Space has been a steadfast partner to SatixFy and our business with them has grown consistently. We are very pleased with this new contract, and we believe that it will position SatixFy as a market leader and technology provider of both space-grade chips and software for next-generation digital satellite payloads."

Barkan also emphasized that the new agreement "demonstrates the trust that MDA Space has in our abilities to provide them with a best-of-breed suite of software and services that push the technological boundaries forward in the satellite communications industry."
