Bangalore (AFP) May 12, 2003India has successfully placed an experimental communications satellite into orbit after it tested its launch vehicle four days ago, the space agency said Monday. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said the satellite, GSAT-2, was placed in the geostationary orbit, synchronised with the spinning of the earth. |
