Northrop Grumman gets production, support contracts for E-2D Hawkeye

Northrop Grumman has been awarded two contracts for production and support on the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye program.

The deals, announced Thursday by the Department of Defense, are valued at more than $99.7 million and $50.6 million under the terms of firm-fixed-price contracts.

The $99.7 million agreement between the U.S. Navy and Northrop Grumman provides for the procurement of long-lead parts and support services of production Lot 7 Northrop Grumman manufactured E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.

The $50.6 million agreement is for non-recurring engineering and product support for production of Lot 6 E-2D Hawkeyes.

The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is an all-weather, tactical airborne early warning aircraft that is capable of deploying from a aircraft carrier.

Work on the contract will occur in multiple locations across the United States, with Lot 6 work expected to be complete in March 2019 and Lot 7 work expected to be completed by December 2022.

The full amount of both contracts has been obligated to Northrop Grumman at the time of award from Navy fiscal 2018 aircraft procurement funds, which will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year, the Pentagon said.
