In a significant move towards enhancing disaster response and public health research, ICEYE, the forefront provider of satellite-powered disaster management solutions, has forged a partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This collaboration grants the CDC access to ICEYE's Flood Insights, a comprehensive data analysis service, for flood events throughout the United States and its territories.

This strategic alliance enables the CDC's Geospatial Research, Analysis, and Services Program (GRASP) to utilize ICEYE's advanced geospatial data. GRASP, known for its role in merging geospatial analysis with public health initiatives, will leverage this data to advance its understanding of the correlation between flood events and health outcomes.

Provided with near real-time geospatial insights by ICEYE, GRASP will be better equipped to assess the immediate and long-term impacts of flood events across the country. This is increasingly critical as the nation faces a rise in both the frequency and severity of these natural disasters, posing a growing threat to public health and safety.

"Understanding the profound impact floods have on communities and public health is crucial for effective disaster response and planning," remarked Andy Read, Vice President of Government Solutions at ICEYE. "Our collaboration with the CDC underscores our commitment to leveraging our satellite capabilities to support agencies in their mission to mitigate the health effects of flooding."

ICEYE's expertise in providing reliable, real-time data is backed by its expansive constellation of over 30 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites. These satellites enable comprehensive Earth observation under any weather conditions, day or night, offering invaluable support for disaster response and resilience building.
