The recent launch, facilitated by the liquid-fueled Long March 2D rocket capable of carrying 1.3-ton payloads to approximately 700 kilometers above Earth, highlights the satellite's vital role in a broad range of observational activities.
Developed by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, a branch of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), both the satellite and its carrier rocket embody the latest in Chinese space technology. This launch not only adds to China's capabilities in space but also marks the 15th venture into space for China in 2024 and a significant milestone in the history of the Long March rocket series, recording its 515th flight.
