General Dynamics gets DARPA classified network contract

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has awarded a follow-on contract to General Dynamics Mission Systems for classified network services, the company announced Tuesday.

If all options are exercised over a five-year period, the contract has a total potential value of $149 million, General Dynamics said in a statement.

The contract covers the provision of classified network services, support and infrastructure.

The contract means the company will continue to scalable, flexible, network and systems development, design and management to accommodate past, present and future technologies, the company said.

The company will also provide insider threat monitoring and reporting solutions that will aid DARPA in early detection of malicious behavior.
