Aireon has broadened its partnership with Airbus through an expanded distribution deal, facilitating greater accessibility to its cutting-edge space-based automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) data. This strategic move will see Airbus incorporating Aireon's comprehensive ADS-B data into its suite of advanced flight analytics and digital solutions, offering unprecedented benefits to a wide array of aviation stakeholders, including airlines, aircraft lessors, and lessees.

The agreement, solidified through a multi-year contract, underscores Airbus's commitment to enhancing its digital offerings with Aireon's real-time and historical flight data. This data integration is central to enriching Skywise Core users' capabilities, enabling them to embed this data into custom reports and analyses. This enhancement aims to bolster the efficiency and sustainability of operating Airbus products, emphasizing the critical role of multi-sourced, real-time flight position data in advancing the aviation industry's digital transformation.

This partnership's extension, announced at the Airspace World exhibition in Geneva, builds upon the initial agreement established between Aireon and Airbus in 2018. The collaboration has since witnessed a significant increase in the global utilization of Aireon's data, marking a new chapter in the synergy between the two leading entities in the aviation sector.

Peter Cabooter, Aireon's Vice President of Customer Affairs, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration's progression, highlighting the substantial benefits of Aireon's data for Airbus and its clientele. The integration of Aireon's real-time and historical data into Airbus's services is expected to revolutionize analytical and situational awareness tools, propelling both companies into a future of enhanced partnership and innovation.
