AST SpaceMobile, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTS), a trailblazer in space-based cellular broadband technology, recently disclosed its latest achievement-a revenue-generating contract awarded by a prime contractor on behalf of the United States Government. This pivotal development underscores AST SpaceMobile's expanding role in enhancing global communication systems through its advanced satellite network.

Chris Ivory, AST SpaceMobile's Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Government Business, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture with the government sector. Ivory highlighted the significance of the company's patented technology, emphasizing its potential to introduce new, mission-critical capabilities for government operations.

"Our large phased array antenna technology in space is set to revolutionize government communications, offering new robust and resilient solutions and enabling a variety of new use cases," Ivory stated.

The contract involves specified tasks leveraging AST SpaceMobile's space-based network situated in low Earth orbit (LEO), signaling a notable milestone in the company's growth trajectory.

Although the financial details of the firm-fixed-price contract remain undisclosed, its execution will be facilitated by the company's operational BlueWalker 3 satellite, along with its forthcoming five commercial satellites. Such revenue-generating agreements are pivotal, showcasing the versatile, dual-use capabilities of AST SpaceMobile's technology.

AST SpaceMobile is at the forefront of constructing the world's first global cellular broadband network in space, uniquely designed to directly connect with standard, unmodified mobile devices.

This endeavor aims to address the connectivity challenges faced by over five billion mobile subscribers globally, striving to deliver broadband access to the billions still lacking reliable internet connection.
