Weighing The Planets, From Mercury To Saturn

An international research team led by David Champion, now at Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, with researchers from Australia, Germany, the U.S., U.K. and Canada, has come up with a new way to weigh the planets in our Solar System, using radio signals from pulsars. Data from a set of four pulsars have been used to weigh Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn with their moons and rings. Iran test fires surface-to-surface missile

Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced on Friday that Iran has test fired a surface-to-surface missile, Qiam, a day before it is due to launch its Russian-built first nuclear power plant. India will conduct another test launch of its intermediate-range nuclear-capable missile Agni II in September from the east coast Wheeler Island facility. Iran began mass-producing two high-speed variants of missile-launching assault boats on Monday, warning its enemies not to "play with fire" as it boosts security along its coastline.
