Two ViaSat network encryptors now NSA-certified

Two ViaSat network encryptors recently received U.S. National Security Agency certification, the company announced Wednesday.

The NSA certification allows U.S. government organizations to purchase the encryptors, the company said in a statement.

The KG-250XS weighs about 10 ounces and delivers 20 Mbps speeds, making it ideal for top secret and sensitive compartmented information applications that have size and weight constraints such as telecommuting, flyaway kits, executive communications and tactical drones.

The IPS-250XS encryptor supports the secure exchange of classified information up to the Secret level.

It is designed to connect IP connections among U.S. troops, coalition partners and government agencies, regardless of deployment location and without the costly logistics and life cycle costs associated with such systems.

That system is also ideal for high-risk and unmanned environments, ViaSat said.

ViaSat's encryptors offer the lowest size, weight and power rugged Type 1 High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptors for tactical flexibility.
