Call For Fair Pricing Policies In The Commercial Launch Services Industry
Paris, France (SPX) Sep 08, 2006 Arianespace had a major impact at the World Satellite Business Week conference in Paris, where CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall called on the launcher industry to apply fair pricing policies for its commercial launch services. He said Arianespace is following this practice for its Ariane 5 heavy-lift vehicle, and expressed concern that quality issues and delays with its competitors could leave satellites grounded - which may create fragility in the marketplace. Le Gall also announced that Arianespace is meeting its goals for new commercial launch service orders in 2006, which includes an agreement to orbit Germany's SATCOMBw-2a and -2b military communications satellites.
