Redwire Corporation, a global leader in mission critical space infrastructure for the next generation space economy, has announced a three-year supplier agreement with Terran Orbital, a global leader and pioneer in the development, innovation and operation of small satellites and Earth observation solutions. Through this agreement, Redwire will deliver a range of advanced components and solutions that will be used in Terran Orbital's industry-leading line of satellite manufacturing and service offerings. Terran Orbital recently announced that it intends to go public through a merger with special purpose acquisition company Tailwind Two Acquisition Corp. "As a leading supplier of space infrastructure and components, Redwire is enabling more cost-effective, high-performance satellite solutions that will transform the future of connectivity, remote sensing and data services," said Peter Cannito, Chairman and CEO of Redwire. "This strategic partnership leverages our robust technology portfolio and highly innovative teams to enhance Terran Orbital's satellite solutions while maintaining supply chain agility and meeting the mission requirements." Redwire's range of advanced components and spacecraft solutions include lightweight high compaction rollable solar array systems developed at the company's Goleta, California, facility; machine vision camera and advanced avionics systems, developed at the company's Littleton, Colorado, facility, which are being used for NASA's Orion spacecraft and Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lunar lander; power solutions, developed at the Longmont, Colorado, facility; and sun sensors and star trackers, developed at the company's Marlborough, Massachusetts, facility, which have nearly five decades of flight heritage and most recently flown on NASA's Mars 2020 mission and GPS III mission. Additionally, Redwire's world-class digital engineering capabilities offer customers state-of-the-art modeling and simulation, which enable configuration of multiple satellite constellations and other assets within a single simulation, thereby reducing development and operations costs.
