Waltham MA (SPX) Oct 14, 2005 Raytheon Systems has been awarded a contract by Northrop Grumman, Lital S.p.A., Italy, for anti-jam antenna systems for Tranche 2 of the Eurofighter Typhoon. The contract, valued at �6.4 million, calls for 265 GPS Antenna Systems for delivery starting in 2006 and running through to 2012. Richard Claydon, RSL's head of navigation systems, said, "This is an important contract for Raytheon and follows on from our earlier contract for Tranche 1 aircraft. Eurofighter Typhoon is a high-profile programme and we are proud to have been selected to supply these systems to Lital S.p.A." He added, "Raytheon has considerable experience in this field of technology and is a major supplier of jam-resistant antenna systems for a wide range of platforms throughout the world.
