CapRock And RST Form Alliance For New Mobile Satellite System

Houston TX (SPX) Mar 17, 2005
CapRock Communications has announced that it has signed an alliance agreement with Robotic Satellite Technology (RST) Solutions for the distribution of a new automatically deployable satellite system for mobile communications vehicles.

CapRock will have exclusive global distribution rights for the new auto-deploy antenna in the energy exploration and production market and will be a preferred distributor for other remote markets, including disaster relief and construction.

The alliance comes after a rigorous co-development effort that combined the product engineering talents of RST with CapRock's in-depth experience delivering broadband satellite services to remote locations and extreme environments.

"Whether the equipment is bounced over rough terrain to a remote oilfield or rushed to the scene of an emergency, our clients depend on our systems for their critical communications," said CapRock Vice President of Marketing and Product Management David Myers.

"As a premium satellite communications provider, we are constantly evaluating new technologies and searching for 'best-of-breed' partners. By working closely with CapRock, RST has created a unique mobile satellite platform that meets the extreme demands for ruggedness in ultra remote locations.

CapRock and RST share a common commitment to deliver highly reliable satellite services that perform even under adverse conditions. We are proud to be a part of an alliance that brings a new level of service to the mobile communications customer."
