Harris Corporation has received a $10 million contract for wideband tactical radios from a Southeast Asia nation looking to modernize its communications program.

The order includes several radio and software products with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. The tactical radios to be sold to the country will provide secure voice and data between command posts and troops on the field. The radios will also support video streaming from cameras mounted on helmets.

Chris Young, president of Harris Communication Systems is optimistic his company's products will give the customer nation an informational advantage on the battlefield.

"Harris is providing our customer a turnkey, end-to-end solution that integrates the most advanced wideband tactical radios with a state-of-the-art battle management system for information superiority," Young said in a statement.

Harris Corporation is a security and defense technology developer with customers in over 125 countries.
