Northrop Grumman has received a $600 million U.S. Missile Defense Agency modification to an existing ballistic missile defense system contract.

The modification increases the total estimated maximum contract value to $3.85 billion.

Under the modification, Northrop will continue to provide operational integration products and services for the ballistic missile defense system.

It will also support the definition, development, testing and evaluation of integrated missile defense capabilities while supporting warfighters in the exercise of missile defense readiness, wargame command and control, operation concepts, doctrinal requirements and operational support of the system.

The contract modification also covers information technology operations, maintenance and infrastructure development.

The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity.
