2-Track Global Announces Successful Testing Of Starfish Product

"I am delighted that the Starfish land-based tracking product has now completed its last commercial trials and we will be proceeding with a full scale launch next month. The terrain was particularly hostile on the silk route and our systems demonstrate that in circumstances whereby utilisation of a cellular network is impossible, communication and tracking can be maintained using low earth orbit satellites at all times".

New York (SPX) Sep 14, 2005
2-Track Global has announced it had successfully completed the final trial for its land-based Starfish product that tracks vehicles and assets via low earth orbit satellites in territories where no cellular-based networks are available.

The rally took place on what is known as the "silk route" between Tianjin and Huhehaote. It was extremely hostile terrain and the product was entirely successful.

Following on with its success, 2-Track Global has now announced that it will sponsor the overland "Five Oceans and Six Continents" race through some of the most inhospitable terrain.

The rally will commence from Patagonia on the southern extremity of South America and will proceed through the American continent vertically from south to north then cross the Bering Sea.

The rally will then pass over the silk route and then across Eurasia towards the Himalayas, Central Asia and the Middle East. 2-Track will supply the tracking devices for all vehicles and UHF radios.

Mike Jung, President of 2-Track Global, commented "I am delighted that the Starfish land-based tracking product has now completed its last commercial trials and we will be proceeding with a full scale launch next month. The terrain was particularly hostile on the silk route and our systems demonstrate that in circumstances whereby utilisation of a cellular network is impossible, communication and tracking can be maintained using low earth orbit satellites at all times. "The sponsorship of the overland Five Oceans and Six Continents Rally is a unique opportunity for the company to showcase its technology so as to increase market awareness and availability of its products".

Nam Kiwhan of Overland Adventure commented "When we first started planning for the rally to the silk route, we wanted to install tracking devices so that we could be monitored 24 hours a day by third parties and so that we could maintain communication at all times.

"The 2-Track technology enables us to perform this function and to provide the inherent safety and security that such systems implement. We were delighted with the success of the system and we approached 2-Track to seek their sponsorship of the Five Oceans and Six Continents Rally which I am delighted they have accepted. We hope to have a long association with the company".
