Japan's H2A Rocket On The Line With Dual SpySats
Tokyo (AFP) Mar 10, 2003
Japan's space agency faces its ultimate test this year -- safely sending into orbit four spy satellites, the agency's head said Monday as North Korea's ratcheted up tension in the region with a missile test launch. While admitting the satellites are not as advanced as US military ones already in orbit, Japan's National Space Development Agency (NASDA) president Shuichiro Yamanouchi called their safe delivery crucial.

    UAVs Play Growing Operational Role
     Washington - Mar 07, 2003
The Air Force's deputy chief of staff for air and space ops is optimistic about the growing role of unmanned aerial vehicles and remotely piloted vehicles in future conflicts. Although their small size makes UAVs hard to detect, Lt. Gen. Ronald E. Keys said stealth technology would make the aircraft even more valuable. "We'll have the ability to go into denied areas, and people won't know we're there looking at things they don't know we're looking at," Keys said.
