Russia to launch 5 military satellites by end of 2013, 6 in 2014

Five spacecraft will join the Russian orbital space group by the end of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said. Six new spacecraft are to be brought into orbit in 2014.

"The orbital space group grew considerably in the past years. In the framework of the state arms program five spacecraft will be added to it this year and it is planned to launch another five by the end of 2013," Putin said.

"Six new spacecraft are to be brought into orbit in 2014," the president said.
