Rush Trucking Selects SkyBitz To Increase Security And Asset Efficiency
by Staff Writers

SkyBitz has announced that Rush Trucking has chosen SkyBitz as their trailer tracking solution for their fleet. In just six months, Rush Trucking has already experienced benefits from using the SkyBitz Gemini Series GLS400 to recover 3 stolen trailers.

Rush Trucking was alerted when the trailers moved outside the electronic fence they set up, which allowed them to quickly react and recover the trailers.

In addition to improved security, Rush Trucking will now be able to drive more efficient asset utilization across their fleet and improve customer satisfaction through improving asset allocation and on-time delivery, and total load visibility.

The GLS400 coupled with Web-based application, SkyBitz InSight, provides managers the ability to view assets in real-time and run customizable management and operational reports for each trailer in their fleet.

Rush Trucking also automatically downloads all of the positioning data into their own truckload management software allowing them to fully integrate with SkyBitz. All of this allows them to proactively monitor and identify any potential issues before they disrupt a customer's supply chain.

"With SkyBitz's trailer tracking solution, we have better visibility of our fleet and the status of our trailers. We were looking for more real-time data to help us gain more efficiencies and utilization. With more precise and real time metrics on trailers, we've been able to make reductions to the size of our fleet," said Andra Rush, CEO and President.

"We are pleased Rush Trucking has already utilized the power of SkyBitz trailer tracking solutions to quickly recover stolen trailers and gain better efficiencies in their fleet," said Senior Vice President of Sales, Henry Popplewell.

"In today's economic climate, logistics and transportation providers are looking for ways to reduce operating costs. Rush Trucking's recent order is a testament to the significant savings and return on investment SkyBitz customers stand to gain."
