Gilat's wholly owned subsidiary Spacenet has introduced the Connect Series of network services. Spacenet's Connect Series is a tiered set of managed services that helps clarify and simplify network operations outsourcing for large multi-site networks.

"Due to the increased specialization and sophistication required to run today's networks, more and more organizations are discovering the benefits of outsourced network operations," said Glenn Katz, Spacenet's President and CEO.

"This in turn has attracted a variety of new providers, leaving the customer a confusing array of disparate services, with no clear standard by which to compare apples to apples. That's why we developed the Connect Series.

"Using our experience with some of the world's largest networks, we identified, developed and refined a suite of offerings packaged according to each customer's internal capabilities, reliability and security requirements, and their budgets."

Based on more than three decades' experience in managed services, Spacenet's Connect Series provides four distinct levels of coverage: Spacenet ClassicConnect, Spacenet ManagedConnect, Spacenet AssuredConnect, and Spacenet CompleteConnect.

Spacenet ClassicConnect Services are ideal for multi-site organizations that desire a single point of contact, circuit provisioning and day-to-day maintenance, and benefit from the simplicity of a single, verified billing statement.

Spacenet ClassicConnect Services include solution design, project management, order management, installation support, billing consolidation, helpdesk support and Spacenet's online portal.

Spacenet ManagedConnect Services are designed for customers who prefer a single point of contact for network rollout, ongoing network management and real-time visibility into network performance. Spacenet ManagedConnect Services include all the services under Spacenet ClassicConnect plus Proactive Monitoring and Management as well as Advanced Network Performance Reporting.

Spacenet AssuredConnect Services are ideally suited for multi-site networks with pre-existing connectivity in need of a managed VPN solution, including outsourced router management, network security and compliance-related functionality. Spacenet AssuredConnect Services offer the security and reliability of Spacenet's Virtual Private Network (VPN) offerings.

Spacenet CompleteConnect Services provide customers complete, full lifecycle network design, implementation, operations and management. Spacenet CompleteConnect adds Solution Design to the Spacenet AssuredConnect services.

Solution Design provides a complete review of business, security and bandwidth requirements - including broadband connectivity from multiple sources - to deliver the most reliable, secure and cost-effective network available.

A variety of value-added services are available under both Spacenet AssuredConnect and Spacenet CompleteConnect including SIEM Logging, Merchant Connectivity, Managed Wi-Fi, Managed VoIP, Advanced HW Replacement, Onsite Maintenance Options, PCI WAP Scanning, and Secure Remote Access.

"Our job is to make the internal IT departments' jobs easier," said Brad Wise, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Spacenet Managed Network Services.

"Already overworked internal IT departments have moved from a technical support role to one more focused on enabling strategic business initiatives. Our Connect Series is designed with the network manager's real world needs in mind.

Essentially, Spacenet and the customer work as a team, combining our expertise and resources to augment and enhance the customer's capabilities to optimize network operations."
