SES Astra, an SES Global company has announced the incorporation of SES Astra TechCom, a new subsidiary company aimed at providing technical services & products to Satellite Industry's professionals. That new company, registered in Luxembourg, will further develop the TechCom activities that SES Astra initiated in 2002 for the delivery of technical services to third parties. TechCom fully relies on the recognized high-quality of engineering & operations personnel, products and facilities that SES Astra has been developing and maintaining over years for its core business. Its service offering has proved to be attractive to diverse customers seeking reliable technical support or solutions. Today, the TechCom portfolio encompasses services ranking from consultancy, operational products delivery, turn-key ground-systems provision, up to 24/7 operations services, and as such, has already generated a significant customer base among the satellite community. While the TechCom activities have experienced significant growth over the last few years, SES Astra TechCom S.A. will allow to further develop those activities and the related business performances, by defining a dedicated company framework. Princeton NJ (SPX) Mar 22, 2005SES Americom, an SES Global company, announced Monday that the Americom-12 (AMC-12) satellite that was launched on February 3, 2005, has successfully completed a full battery of in-orbit-tests and is now being drifted into its 37.5 degrees West orbital location.
