Globecomm Systems Thursday announced that the Company has been awarded two satellite infrastructure contracts valued at $7.7 million. Both of the contracts are from repeat customers in the United States. The first contract is from a U.S. Government customer and the second is from a Direct-To-Home service provider. Under the terms of both contracts, Globecomm will provide satellite up-linking infrastructure supporting the customer's requirements. David Hershberg, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Globecomm Systems said, "Globecomm's positioning in the U.S. Government marketplace continues to pay dividends and fuel the Company's turnaround." "Furthermore, the Company is also seeing demand for satellite ground segment infrastructure, as evidenced by this contract from a repeat customer in the Direct-to-Home satellite service provider space. Globecomm is well positioned to continue to capitalize on these trends." Related Links Globecomm Systems SpaceDaily Search SpaceDaily Subscribe To SpaceDaily Express
