COM DEV International Ltd. has received a major contract to provide core COM DEV products and subsystems to a US customer for a large commercial satellite program. The contract is worth $4.8 Million US (Approximately $6.3 million CDN). The name of the customer and the satellite program involved cannot be provided at this time because of contractual requirements to not name the customer or the customer's customer. The contract work will be carried out at COM DEV's facility in Cambridge, Ontario over the next 12 months. Commenting on this award, COM DEV's CEO, John Keating said, "This order won against stiff competition reflects the growing strength of our core space products relative to the recovering market. "It is because our market share is growing that our order book is near an all time high and I am very confident of achieving this year's plan. At the same time we continue to engage in an exciting range of new opportunities any one of which holds potentially exciting prospects to accelerate future growth."
