Households wasted 1 billion meals every day of 2022: UN Households around the world threw away one billion meals every single day in 2022, according to the latest UN data on global food waste published on Wednesday. The Food Waste Index Report said the billion meals of edible food disposed of by households alone was a conservative estimate "and the real amount could be much higher". |
