France and South Korea signed cooperation accords here Monday in the fields of energy and information technology during an official visit to Paris by South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun.

The agreements were signed by French Industry Minister Patrick Devedjian, South Korean Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Lee Hee-Beom and South Korean Information and Cooperation Minister Chin Dae-Je.

The first agreement, aimed at promoting energy cooperation, calls for the creation of group of experts that would meet annually as well as for exchanges of researchers.

The information technology accord extends a cooperation agreement signed in March 2004 in Seoul.
