The world's leading computer maker, US group Dell, foresees sales of around 50 billion dollars (40 billion euros) this year, chief executive Kevin Rollins told the French financial daily La Tribune.

"As of this year, we should be around 50 billion dollars," the French language newspaper quoted Rollins as saying in its edition due out on Tuesday.

On Thursday, the group posted third-quarter profit of 846 million dollars on sales of 12.5 billion, and targetted sales of 60 billion dollars for its fiscal year that runs to the end of January.
