SAP, the world's largest supplier of business software, rejected press reports Wednesday that suggested it was again negotiating a possible merger with US giant Microsoft.

"There are no talks underway and we have no intention of restarting dialogue" with Microsoft, a company spokesman told AFP.

The financial weekly Focus Money reported in its latest edition that the two rivals had re-started merger talks.

The two had been in negotiations to merge at the end of 2003 but finally decided to abandon those talks.
