    Japanese electronics maker Hitachi on Friday said it has raised its first-half net profit forecast due to stronger-than-expected sales of IT and digital electronics products.

    Hitachi Ltd. now expects a net profit of 41 billion yen (380 million dollars) for the six months to September, up from its earlier estimate of 25 billion yen, with sales put at 4.33 trillion yen, up from 4.15 trillion yen.
