US-based Trianz Consulting announced Wednesday it has acquired Bangalore-based Eximsoft, an IT services firm in a deal "mostly in cash."

Sri Manchala, president and chief executive officer of Trianz Consulting, said the deal, which was closed on Tuesday, would help expand the services of the company.

"The acquisition is mostly in cash," Manchala said without disclosing further details. "It was funded from our own funds."

"Most of our clients were asking us to develop their products," Manchala said. "The combined offering of consulting and product development adds much more value to the firm."

Eximsoft has 160 professionals and Trianz has about 60 people working in India.

"The total strength of 200 professionals is quite a good start for widening our operations," Manchala said.

Privately-held Trianz Consulting, which was set up in 2000, was expected to clock revenues of one billion rupees (21.7 million dollars) during the current year, he said.
