Second Sino-Brazilian space satellite to be launched Tuesday

A second Sino-Brazilian surveillance satellite is to be launched next Tuesday from China's Taiyuan base 800 kmmiles) southeast of Beijing, the Brazilian Space Exploration Institutesaid Friday.

The INPE said Chinese authorities had confirmed Friday that the Terrestres-2 satellite would be placed in orbit early Tuesday morning, 13 minutes after its launch aboard a Long March 4B rocket.

The first satellite was launched in October 1999 from the same Chinese base aboard the same type of rocket.
