Bilbao technology "summit" set to draw swathe of firms

More than 1,100 firms from 28 countries are set to attend an industrial and technological fair to be held in the Basque city of Bilbao from September 24 to 27, Spanish media and organisers said Thursday.

Firms will display hi-tech goods in 10 different but inter-related salons which will range from machinery and accessories to technology, logistics and maintenance.

Organisers added they hope to draw more than the 19,899 visitors from public and private industry who attended last year's event hosted by the Bilbao International Exhibition, one of Europe's leading trade exhibition centres.
