Infosys' net profit soars 28 percent in first quarter
BANGALORE, India (AFP) Jul 10, 2003 India's second largest software exporter Infosys Technologies Thursday said its net profit jumped 28 percent in the first quarter to June compared to the same quarter in 2002.
Net profit rose up to 2.8 billion rupees (46.1 million dollars) from 2.1 billion rupees while revenues of the Nasdaq-listed firm were up 41.4 percent to 10.8 billion rupees, the company said in a statement.
