LE BOURGET, France (AFP) Jun 16, 2003
The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company said Monday it expected to sign an estimated 3.0-billion euro (3.6-billion-dollar) contract in Britain for a defence satellite program "in weeks".

The contract for Skynet 5 military satellite communications program was a sign of growth in the group's business in Britain, EADS said at a news conference at the Paris Air Show.

"The UK is becoming a home market for EADS," EADS co-chief executive Philippe Camus said.
