The co-operation plan between the Singapore government's Economic Development Board (EDB) and the French Chamber of Commerce (FBA) aims to boost bilateral economic co-operation and create 50 jobs in the Southeast Asian country.
"As part of the plan, both the FBA and the EDB will leverage upon each other's facilities and networks... to facilitate the entry of French companies and organisations into Singapore," FBA president Jean-Claude Marquet said.
According to a joint press release, there are already about 380 French companies in Singapore, giving France a stronger economic presence in the city-state than in any other Southeast Asian nation.
The statement said the new plan aimed to help at least 10 small and medium sized French enterprises expand into the region from Singapore.
