Swarm of tornadoes kill 29, injure dozens in US Midwest
KANSAS CITY, Missouri (AFP) May 05, 2003 A swarm of tornadoes that swept through the Midwestern United States' tornado alley at the weekend left 29 people dead and dozens more injured, emergency management officials said Monday.
Twelve people were confirmed dead in Missouri, another 10 in Tennessee and seven more in Kansas and that number could rise, officials with state and federal emergency management agencies said.
