Baghdad airport to open in a week for humanitarian flights
BAGHDAD (AFP) Apr 20, 2003 Baghdad's international airport was expected to open within one week for humanitarian flights, Major General Bufort Blount told AFP Sunday.
"Within a week we'll have it open for humanitarian flights," he said.
Saddam International Airport has been closed since it was seized by the US Army's Third Infantry Division early this month.
