WASHINGTON (AFP) Apr 17, 2003 The US administration announced Thursday it had awarded a contract worth up to 680 million dollars to Bechtel Group to help in the reconstruction of Iraq.
The initial award for reconstruction was worth 34.6 million dollars, but it provided funding of up to 680 million dollars over 18 months, the US Agency for International Development said.
