US General Tommy Franks, who commands US-led forces in the war on Iraq, was in Baghdad Wednesday to meet with commanders on the ground, a Central Command (Centcom) spokesman said in Qatar"He is currently in Baghdad and he is meeting with his commanders," Lieutenant-Colonel Fanto Jeff said.
Centcom declined to give further details.
