Red Cross begins second visit to Iraqi POWs
GENEVA (AFP) Apr 15, 2003
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Tuesday began a second visit to a coalition-run prisoner of war (POW) camp holding thousands of Iraqis in the south of the country.

The visit is planned to last one week and the delegation is made up of 15 people, the ICRC said in a statement.

During a first visit to the camp near Umm Qasr, begun on March 30, the ICRC recorded 3,800 Iraqi POWs.

The ICRC was not allowed access to POWs held by the Iraqis.
