Bush discusses Iraq, Middle East with Aznar, Mubarak, Abdullah
WASHINGTON (AFP) Apr 14, 2003
US President George W. Bush discussed post-war Iraq and the Middle East peace process Monday with the leaders of Spain, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said.

Bush and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar "pledged to work together to closely assist the people of Iraq," said Fleischer, who did not provide further details.

In his conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Bush "discussed the importance of providing humanitarian aid to the people of Iraq," said Fleischer. It was their first exchange since US-led forces took Baghdad.

Bush also discussed the Middle East peace process with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the White House spokesman said.
