PORT SAID, Egypt (AFP) Apr 12, 2003 Two US ships carrying food passed through the Suez canal Saturday to join the US fleet in the Gulf, Egyptian port authorities announced.
The USNS Watson and USNS Red Cloud cargo ships passed through the waterway, the sources said, without specifying whether the shipment was destined for coalition troops or the Iraqi population.
