LONDON (AFP) Apr 11, 2003 The United States has invited representatives of the Iraqi opposition to a meeting on Tuesday near Nasiriyah in southern Iraq, a spokesman for the Iraqi National Congress told AFP Friday.
"I received an invitation from (US commander in the Gulf) Tommy Franks" to the meeting at a military base outside Nasiriyah, said spokesman Sharif Ali bin al-Hussein.
