Two injured as earthquake shakes parts of northern Italy
ROME (AFP) Apr 11, 2003 Two people were injured when an earthquake measuring 4.6 points on the open-ended Richter scale shook an area of northern Italy east of the city of Turin on Friday, local officials said.
The quake, which occurred at 11:26 am (0926 GMT) had its epicentre near the town of Alessandria, some 90 kilometres (55 miles) east of Turin, they said.
The tremor was felt in cities as far away as Milan and Genoa.
