US issues list of 55 most wanted Iraqi officials
AS-SALIYAH, Qatar (AFP) Apr 11, 2003
The United States military has issued a list of 55 individuals wanted by coalition forces as it gains control of Iraq, Brigadier General Vincent Brooks told a press briefing here Friday.

Giving no names, Brooks said US commanders on the ground had been provided with a stack of cards listing and providing pictures of those sought.

He added that posters were also being printed to inform the Iraqi population of which officials were wanted for questioning.

"We know there are some that are alive and (some who are) dead," Brooks said, adding that he hoped Iraqis would help coalition forces locate or detain those on the list.
