Number of US troops killed in Iraq conflict rises to 105

A total of 105 US troops have been killed since the beginning of the war in Iraq March 20, acording to a new toll from the Pentagon Thursday.

Of the total, 93 were killed by friendly fire and 12 others in accidents.

The number of injured rose to 399.

The Defense Department reports seven prisoners of war (POW).

Eleven US troops were reported missing, a category which generally means it has not been determined definitively whether they are dead or prisoners of war.
